Having an opened mind does not mean you have to believe anything.
It does not mean the truth can be debated.
If something can be debated it is NOT the truth untill we reach to an agreement like 2+2=4 for exemple...
The truth of life and death is the same for everyone.
Physical life (including minds) is balanced.
Your physical body will die when your heart and brain will stop working.
But you are more than your mind : we are (equal/immortal) spiritual beings in a (different/mortal) physical body...
Open your mind, means to not use it for nothing when you do not need it.
It is literraly opening the way to your spirit, so your spirit can recieve full life through your senses.

We are all insane untill we realize we are more than our minds.
The only reason the mind is so hard to see, is because almost everyone is ignoring it, and everyone is insane.
The mind wants to keep in control, because it is afraid of the facing the fact everyone is insane.
George Orwell wrote a whole book (maybe more, I only read this one so far) about how everyone is insane : 1984.
So to keep control the mind may makes you think YOU are insane because everyone else is supposed to be "normal".
But the truth is, the mind itself is what makes you insane, so how could it be a good judge of sanity ?
