It's not some dude smoking pot. It's not blind faith. The Bible was written by 40 men over a 1500 year period. These men lived in different parts of the world at different times and many didn't have access to the others writings, yet it all fits together as one book because God directed them. There are hundreds of prophecies, which were written hundreds of years before the events that have come true. Nastradamous doesn't have anything on the Word of God.
