I don't know why both sides are so obsessed with delegitimizing the will of voters. It's bad for democracy.

Other than possibly Fox News....I only see one side "delegitimitizing the will of the voters". But I have been binging on Newhart, so I may have missed something.

Guys like Matt Gaetz represent a real portion of the American electorate. We've turned into a country of complete morons.

i don't think matt gaetz is a moron. he's a massive douche for sure, but i have the feeling he knows exactly what he's doing and who he's pandering to.
he's a sycophant, a hack, and a grifter, desperately trying to make up for that one time he accidentally showed something even resembling a spine (war powers resolution), which unsurprisingly lead to immediate backlash from the emperor, who doesn't accept ANY criticism or resistance to his power grabs - but as much as i would like to say that about gaetz' incredibly punchable face, i don't think he's actually that dumb.

Well, sure, that may be true. I just mean that pulling a stunt like this assumes that his constituents are morons. Serious people don't do this sort of thing. It's possible Matt isn't an idiot, and just acts like one in a performative way to appeal to his voters.

Serious people don't get much fame in the Trump cult. People who know something are boring elites.
