"Trump has to go" was the only thing keeping Biden's coalition together. With him gone, the various factions within the Democratic party will find themselves in dirty infighting before he's even inaugurated.

In a world of justice, Biden would be getting intelligence briefs about all of Trumps crimes, and he'd have Trump hung from a rope in the middle of Washington D.C. for all the world to spit at and the vultures to peck clean.

But there is no justice in this world. Biden will probably say "let's build unity" and let Trump go make millions on tour for the rest of his life.
