It is longer, but that in no way changes the fact that we "do not render unto Caesar so that he may do God's work, God's work is our own. We render unto Caesar so that he may do Caesar's work."

Jesus didn't command us to use our votes to steal from others so that Caesar could be generous with the money. He commanded us to do it ourselves. Love thy neighbor, not rob the guy 3 doors down to love thy neighbor.

so what DID jesus say about voting? what did he say about democratic socialism vs. predatory capitalism?

i find it hilarious how our 'libertarians' always frame social programs as 'stealing' (or even more polemically, as 'robbing', which makes even less sense) and therefore the end of the world, while being largely quiet about the exploitation of labour, massive subsidies for some of the most profitable corporations, and handouts in the form of taxbreaks for the already wealthy. the mental gymnastics you'd have to do in order to suggest jesus would side with the oligarchs and donor class...

Then he went into the money lending district and tore things down.

Meshes with abolishing the Fed quite well, don't you think?

I find it hilarious how liberlols frame their largess as charity instead of building plantations.

What subsidies am I in favor of?

Amazing how adamant liberlols are on the separation of church and state until they want Christians to foot the bill for their "charity."

Religion is business everywhere, including France.

We ran this country just fine without an income tax for a century and a half.

what a completely moronic take, even from someone who already lowered expectations by declaring they are 'libertarian'. obviously it's completely irrelevant if you're religious or not, let alone which specific religion you belong to, when it comes to taxes. this has literally NOTHING at all to do with secularism. i mean, holy fuck, that doesn't even begin to make sense...

notice how i said you're 'being largely quiet about', and you strawman that as 'in favor of'? no, i don't think you're 'in favour' of any subsidies, but for some reason you almost exclusively bitch about and misrepresent measures to improve the lives of poor people, and hardly ever about handouts for the rich. funny how 'principled libertarians' (lol) always seem to end up siding with supply side economics and other demonstrably flawed (and countless times failed) conservative approaches...

i don't know if you ppl (camboy an you are particularly audacious about it) actually think that by not explicitly endorsing the other side, but mercilessly, dishonestly, and one-sidedly bashing programs to help the working class as 'robbery', it gives you any kind of deniability or credibility, but that's simply not how it works - the hackery is just too lazy and transparent.

Jesus would bitch slap you for suggesting taxes are stealing, or for thinking that with your current level of wealth you couldn't afford to pay every cent asked.

Honestly, Jesus would probably bitch slap every Republican for constantly yelling about the cost of healthcare when we have achieved the level of material wealth we currently have.

Since you're always a little bitch, reporting me when I use inflammatory rhetoric, I returned the favor. You can have an adult response when you learn to behave like one. Reported.

Jesus also knew taxes were used for promoting war and took care of the poor and sick Himself.
