And oh boy its a doozy:
Quote
Handwritten notes from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) that had been inappropriately withheld from Flynn’s defense team for years show that a key goal of the agents investigating Flynn was “to get him to lie so we can prosecute him or get him fired.”
..
In the handwritten FBI notes, the note-taker, whose identity was not made clear in the document production, wrote that an alternate goal is to “get [Flynn] to admit breaking the Logan Act,”
The idiots wrote it down. This is as smoking gun as it gets. Comey/McCabe/etc intentionally set up Flynn and tried to intentionally trick him into lying to them for the sole purpose of weaponizing it against him as a criminal / political / laughably unconstitutional bludgeon. They straight up wrote it in their notes.
https://i.imgur.com/zK72Z1B.pngThey knew that Flynn was lying
in public about contact with the Russians, something they only knew due to illegally obtained wiretaps and something he was only lying about because it was a back-and-forth political slapfight between the outgoing and incoming administrations. They planned the interview under the false pretense of interdepartmental cooperation as an ambush to get him to lie to them about it so they could prosecute him or
get him fired, a political agenda. They even tried to get him on the bloody Logan Act, as if their only goal was to create a political furor by leaking it to the Washington Post because there's no court in the country that's going to accept a Logan Act prosecution. And of course, that's exactly what they did: They leaked it to David Ignatius of WaPo.
Not only that, they
knew what they were doing was unethical and violating the trust placed in them:
Quote
“I agreed yesterday that we shouldn’t show Flynn [REDACTED] if he didn’t admit,” the FBI author wrote. “I thought [about] it last night, [and] I believe we should rethink this.”
“We regularly show subjects evidence, with the goal of getting them to admit wrongdoing,” the notes said. “I don’t see how getting someone to admit their wrongdoing is going easy on him.”
The redaction portion of the notes is believed to reference transcripts of phone calls between Flynn and other foreign officials. Those transcripts have never been publicly released, making it impossible to independently assess whether Flynn lied about those conversations.
The handwritten FBI notes end with a prophetic line, given the voluminous evidence of misconduct by FBI and DOJ officials in their investigation of Trump and their attempt to oust him from office.
“If we’re seen as playing games, [the White House] will be furious,” the author wrote. “Protect our institution by not playing games.”
Flynn was 100% set up.
I was spot on about the facts of this case since it happened 3 years ago
