Business and econ could at time be a stem depending on composition of that degree. Like if 60 of your credits is sitting in python writing trading algorithms as part of your business degree then that's enough math and tech to qualify it as STEM.
Look up econometrical models or complex financial models and you quickly understand why they could be included as STEM
Entirely depends on the degree class requirements.
Econ is purely human behavioral science like psychology, sociology, etc. They all have their metrics classes which include math and statistics, not sure how to do empirical science without math measurements :p.
I just wanted to hear some rationalizing tbh.
Business is kind of its own animal. But on the whole it is less technical than even the social sciences.
Some allied health degrees could probably fit your description.
