The problem isnt with merely accepting transgender persons. You're a girl in a man's body? Fine, cool, nobody cares.
The problem lies with the accomodations and extra treatment we're asked to grant these people, although it's just a phase for the big majority of them and even though the number of grown-ups with a consistent transgender identity is vanishingly small.

Even more problems arise when liberal ideology urges society to condone transition on kids [1], when the integrity of athletic competition is undermined in the name of transgender ideology [2], when women in a vulnerable position are offered to a sex predator on a silver platter [3], or when "gender transition" turns into a potential get-out-of-jail card for rapists [4].

the times might be conservative, but it is a highly reputable source and definitely NOT some nutty, biased right-wing rag.
if the times is no longer considered an acceptable source, then the nytimes and the WaPo also wouldnt "count" anymore. which is absurd.
