She was pointing out that the oligarchs who came up with the term did not intend for anyone to actually do it, it was a nasty phrase used by those who wanted to feel superior to keep the peasants in line.
These days it is used by the right constantly.
If you are struggling to keep up with the message she is trying to get across that is on you.

Yes. It never ceases to amaze me how many millennials, feel the necessity to "explain" things to folks who understand the origins and the REASON the phrase came to be used in politics, to all us cretins that have understood things like this for longer than she's been alive.

Maybe we should coin a new term... millennial-splaining. <---- Maybe this terminology will help millennials understand that they really don't need to spend time explaining the VERY obvious, to those that already understand it.
