Huh, I just realized I've had Colorado and Wyoming mixed up in my head for, like, ever.

to be fair, they have been (rightfully) embarrassed about it, and those kinds of mistakes are incredibly rare in "german state TV".
that anchor for example said something along the lines of 'this will probably haunt me to the day i die' - jokingly of course, but it still illustrates how embarrassed he is.

I didnt mean this pic as a jab at our state TV, I just found it funny in the context of Trump's fuckup tweet from last night where he located the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas, even though they're located in the Missouri part of KC...

If conservatives don't want their states to be called "fly-over" they should do some public investment lol

Just an FYI for our overseas friends... we don't grow corn in Colorado, or Wyoming, for that matter.

Public investment wont create urban centers or population density out of nowhere, lol.
Also, the real problem with the fly-over country terminology isnt that people use it to refer to places like Kansas or Wyoming - it's that they used it for everything from Nevada to Pennsylvania.

Not over night it won't, but it will over time.

The nice thing about what we do in flyover country is that private investment does just fine. Mining, drilling for oil, farming, etc.
