How would complete exoneration even be possible? I mean you can make the Goomshill argument that Flynn was caught off guard by malevolent actors in the FBI, and he didn't want to reveal conversations with the Russian ambassador. That's not really true, but let's assume for a moment it is. There's still no disputing the fact that he lied about the phone call, and he clearly admitted it in court, multiple times.

Not to mention the whole "consulting for Turkey while on the campaign and transition" thing that got memory holed by the right-wing.

This is just Flynn's nutty lawyer feeding the cult more propaganda that is going to fall flat in court. Of course that's the point... not to win on the facts, but to convince enough dopes in the cult to make a pardon politically defensible.

Maybe Flynn told the truth about the phone call, and the FBI manufactured then produced evidence that Flynn lied... well then Flynn would HAVE to admit to it or perjure himself.
