Any of the bigshots in either party in danger of losing their constituency?

Not really, no. Most Conservative seats in the South are really safe. Some Labour seats could be easily lost, but there aren't many big players in Labour other than Corbyn, McDonnell and Tom Watson. Anna Soubry is in a very marginal constituency so I imagine she'll lose her seat to Labour now she's in Change.

the details on how the votes played out are interesting.

for example, can anyone explain to me why 5 of the 6 libdem MPs and the 1 green MP voted against the customs union proposal?

In general, a customs union with the EU seems to me like a sensible minimal compromise avoiding the worst economic fallout from a hard brexit, while retaining as much freedom from the EU as possible. it would also help tremendously with the Irish border.
Since this proposal failed by only 3 votes, I can see it pass the next time it comes up.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/apr/01/brexit-customs-union-bad-for-foreign-policy-and-trade-says-truss
Reasons
“I think it’s incredibly problematic, the idea of a customs union,” Truss told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. “It would mean that control of our trade policy sat with the European Union whilst we were no longer a member, where we would have no influence. That would have consequences for our foreign policy, we wouldn’t be able to strike independent trade deals.”

A Swiss/Norwegian approach seems like the best that is possible. It's likely even the EU would agree with it, even though the level of special treatment the UK has had is already off the charts.

Because a customs union is inferior to what we have now.

but its infinitely better than a hard brexit. are they really still "betting" on getting the whole Brexit thing cancelled in the end?

May acts like one of those ugly guys who hit on a beautiful girl again and again and again until she's tired of rejecting him and, in a moment of weakness, lets a pity fuck happen.

So Mrs May is asking to EU a new delay till May 22th... Which one was originally designed in case her agreement passed

Jesus christ...

I'm somewhat supportive of the idea of a Brexit, and didnt like how the EU has been playing hardball on the substantive level throughout the negotiations. But even I am starting to lose my patience and sympathy with May and the Brits.
Could they just get their shit together please and either tell the rest of the EU what they want, or fuck off with a hard Brexit on April 12th?
