coronavirus has a skyhigh infection rate and a much higher mortality rate than the common flu. and there's no vaccine.

any reasonable person would see this as trump lying about the corona virus yet again. a hack would frame it as outrageous 'new line of attack on trump' - as if deliberately trying to misinform the american people about the lethality of a possible pandemic was just a normal thing to do...

Trump most likely is right though, at least technically. Since the big majority of infections lead to no or only very mild symptoms, it is safe to assume that there are tons of unknown/unregistered cases. Therefore, if the mortality rate among the registered cases stands at 3.x%, the true mortality rate of the disease should indeed be below 1%.
