This outcome is probably for the best.
Because the nation will only get the Barr Summary and Trump gets to claim executive privilege and redact what he wants before the [redacted] Report may or may not still be released:
1) Democrats can claim a coverup/conspiracy and it will energize their political base while preventing any damage to their politicians or associated media outlets; and
2) Republicans will just go on thinking the Mueller Report actually exonerated Trump.
In the reverse scenario,
1) The Democrats call for blood after the full report likely shows collusion with "private citizen" Russian oligarchs (vs "government officials" Barr dismisses charges based on) and other various financial crimes and misdeeds and;
2) Republicans get energized about a "Deep State coup" and we are placed in the dangerous situation where more right wing loonies start shooting up mosques, churches, nightclubs, antifascist marches etc.
So this isn't fine, but it may be the safest outcome for now (protects optics on both sides, pacifies the potentially violent). The Democrats should focus on policy and beating Trump at the polls in 2020.
You're wearing a bigger tin foil hat than those claiming that this was a deep state conspiracy.
On one side you have Hillary Clinton who obstructed justice by physically destroying her phone, deleting emails, etc.
On the other side you have Trump who hasn't been shown to have damaged or deleted any evidence, and none can be found.
Yet you claim he's the more likely criminal?
