Teaching children that the Earth is only 6,000 years old and that evolution is a hoax is most definitely intellectual child abuse, but I think it goes too far to compare it with phyiscal or sexual child abuse.  People who teach their children these things should be mocked but not punished.  Freedom of and freedom from religion is a crucial part of our Constitution in the US.

However, in cases where parent's religious beliefs prevent a child from receiving proper vaccinations or medical care should, in fact, be considered child abuse and be punishable by law.

And who the fuck gets to decide "proper?" The government?

Awfully convenient for you to be able to outright ignore people's rights, isn't it?

If you warp the law enough, not vaccinating your own children can be either neglect or endangerment of others. Because vaccinations only work the best when everyone gets them. Those enclaves full of unvaccinated people are biohazard timebombs. A viral epidemic inside such an enclave could become pandemic due to mutation.

Such logic should never happen in court though. And whilst those who are faithful in God want their own rights respected as parents, they should also give the same to those who wish their kids raised without religion and acceptant to LGBT. That tolerance is sometimes hard to find in deeply religious circles. Live and let live I say.

I say when they want to live outside of society where they cannot endanger others by becoming infected and spreading it, then they can go unvaccinated. Cancer, transplant, and HIV patients can't be vaccinated and rely on herd immunity. The same goes for newborns and a host of other groups. Not being vaccinated very clearly falls under endangering others through non-action, or at the very least if they do get a vaccination preventable disease they should subject themselves to quarantine as we do with other non-preventable diseases. It doesn't really take the mutation idea because it can be expressed more directly.

Meet Kanon Tipton, a 4 year old victim of... well , see for yourself.

Kanon is given approval for acting like a deranged lunatic.

Kanon cannot read, yet he turns the pages of his bible because it is part of what he is imitating. If you listen to what he says, most of it is either repetitive or does not make any sense.

How is that a big deal at all? Most atheists start off as Christians in America so the kid will learn to think for himself. Don't act like you're some free thinker because you're one of the most closed-minded people on this forum.

Yeah, accurate representation of the religious population at large and what not. How does it feel to be the worst poster on in this shit hole.
