Yes yes you're just copying and pasting things and pretending you've thought about them.
Stopped reading at "anti fossil policies" because biden has been doing his damndest to increase domestic oil prod and has increased it a shit load, which i don't necessarily agree with.
So i really don't feel the need to read further. Thanks for the reminder you aren't an honest actor.
Dude, I wrote this list myself. I did some mild copy-pasting... from MYSELF, from stuff I had already written here on jsp or on reddit, in some cases years ago.
Regarding his anti fossil policies: Biden explicitly promised that "we are going to get rid of fossils" on the campaign trail. [1, 2]
He immediately signed EOs to stop drilling on federal lands as soon as he took office. [3, 4]
Later, he claimed that oil would be phased out starting in roughly 10 years. [5]
Later on in his presidency, amidst surging inflation and oil prices, he did a u-turn, tried to get domestic oil companies to produce more, tapped into the strategic reserve and even begged OPEC to drill more. But the damage had already been done. And it's of course a transparent attempt at softening the blow of the energy transition that he and his party still clearly want in the medium- to long-term. Guess what, a lot of the assets in the industry have a depreciation period of 50 years, so when you signal to oil execs that you want to phase out fossils in 10 years, they won't make this kind of investment anymore.
High domestic US production does not by itself rule out that Biden and his policies were detrimental, rather than helpful. Furthermore, US production has actually NOT increased "a shit load" when looked at in the context of the world market prices which went through the roof in 2022. For example, looking at some data [6], we see that US production was still below the pre-pandemic level in 2022; the "highest ever"-2023 level is only a little over the 2019 level, and the increased US production is still not enough to compensate for the cuts in Saudi and Russian production.

Tldr:
Your claim that "Biden has been doing his damned to increase domestic oil production" is a bold-faced lie by you which is easily debunked with a simple google search. My god was that an epic projection on your part. And then you even have the gall to call me a dishonest actor.

Everything I wrote in my previous post can be backed up by extensive sources if necessary, but you were clearly not debating in good faith since the get go and only looked for an excuse to dodge the actual, substantive debate. Aaand the excuse you came up with was a miserable failure. Sad. Do better.
