Bernie is not a communist.

He's close enough where I don't want to take that chance. Bernie is radical left even based on European standards. I think he would be considered a moderate Republican in North Korea.

What policies of his are left by european standards?

None as far as i can see, he would fit right into the greens or labor here in australia.

Free college for everyone (most countries flat out restrict who can get in and for those it's heavily subsidized, but not free), single payer system (most universal healthcare countries don't have that), single payer that also covers dental and vision, a financial transaction tax, and a wealth tax.
