most "nazis" these days are wannabe idiots living in trailers that have watered down the goal of the "party" from killing all of the world's jews to being against race mixing and homosexuality.

to even call ANYONE a "Nazi" who isn't openly advocating that we murder all of the jews is pretty silly. and its really just an attempt to use adverse labeling theory to justify violence against those you disagree with.

believe it or not hte nazi's didnt have events where they held signs and screamed across police lines at dreadlocked woke whiteys. they forcibly ripped gold teeth from people's mouths before separating them into the shower line and the forced labor line which later headed to the showers.

Sure, if you only take the word to mean the political party, but thats pretty obviously not how im using it and isnt required for the point im making. Nazis were in power during all of those things. Before getting in power they were doing other things to gain public support. It obviously doesnt start with pulling teeth and gas chambers.

It's dangerous when the word "fascist" gets thrown around so much that it's meaningless.

White supremacy groups are politically powerless. If they were an existential threat to our survival I might agree.

99.99% of the public is wholesale against the nazis, and the idea of them gaining public support to a level that their ideology is put into play in the western world is frankly absurd.

you're advocating that a group of people that society detests, that has no chance in hell of gaining traction, get's punched in the face for fighting a hopeless battle of ideas.

if a nazi attacks someone, they should be punched. im not even in the "let the police/courts do the punishment". if a nazi punches a jew on the streets they should be a pile of stomped out pulp before the cops get there. but ideas? ideas that have no chance of gaining traction? that's just violence to justify the lack of debate anyone can have with such fringe ideas.

Neither do I. What I do have a problem with, however, is people committing violence who for example consider all Trump voters to be Nazis, and Trump to be "literally Hitler", and silly shit like that.



I absolutely agree with this. Which goes to show that you didnt understand what I was saying before:

My problem is not with actual Nazis or fascists getting beaten up. My problem is with far-left groups using their own, very subjective definition of fascism to justify violence. These folks consider everything from center-left onwards to be fascism. They consider a fuckton of non-extremist and morally defensible views (which are well within the bounds of the constitution) to be 'fascist' and 'punchable'. THAT's the problem with antifa!



And more generally, I have a problem when civilian groups without any democratic legitimization are undermining the state's monopoly on the use of force. Nothing good will come from these forms of violence, no matter how well-intentioned it might be. (And then again, in a lot of cases, it doesnt seem to me like antifa's violence is actually well-intentioned anyway. More like a bunch of spoiled privileged brats seeking a thrill and trying to morally elevate themselves in their own eyes.)

i did indeed shake my head at people not knowing Hitler killed millions of jews and not knowing who Stalin was....

i reality they prob interviewed 100 people to get 4 clips, but come on....

true, but on the other hand, this was taken at a literal university campus. the people they interviewed for this vid are supposed to be the educational and intellectual elite of the U.S.
