On the topic of Gaza specifically, the solution is crystal clear for Israel. Pacify the region, replace all levels of government, tightly control the media & information to de-radicalize the people, and incorporate the region into the state of Israel. Slowly return the right to self-governance to the Palestinian residents if they behave well. Over the course of a decade of good behaviour, the Palestinian residents there would have a good level of regional self-governance which is the best outcome for them.

But there is no evidence to support they are inclined to do this.

I'm not from Israel so I don't know what the current sentiment is like among the population, but this solution to me is self-evident and I view the Israelis as very intelligent people who would come to this or a similar conclusion after Hamas is destroyed. Other option is to expel the Palestinian residents (on the grounds of a credible threat to the security of the nation) which is also a good option but will not be as accepted by international observers

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Partition_Plan_for_Palestine

The United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine was a proposal by the United Nations, which recommended a partition of Mandatory Palestine at the end of the British Mandate. On 29 November 1947, the UN General Assembly adopted the Plan as Resolution 181
