everyone is eager to strike new trade deals with the brits. your mistake is to assume that somehow makes brexit beneficial for them when in reality every single trade deal suggested (america, china, india...) offers them worse conditions than the ones the EU has with those regions - and understandably so considering they have significantly less leverage and a comparably tiny market after finally leaving the union. it's really economics 101...

ORRRR... the EU desperately needs Britain's trade.

Also, the US won't screw Britain on trade. One, we don't need to, and two Britain is like our father-country family.

2nd ref and remain.

Wouldn't be surprised. Would be hilarious to see how red the gammon would get too.

Can't even grasp at what type of referendum it would be, what type will get the majority, lets vote and show a lack of a political mandate.. Best options would be obstructed or impractical.

let's ask this: what type of referendum has a chance to happen?
1) checkers / hard brexit
2) checkers / stay
3) leave / stay (with the same stalemate at a leave vote, making the previous types more deciding)
4) multi choice with no single 50% + possibility: (checkers/stay/hard/Norwegian etc.)

Imo we need to reduce the options for the plebs.. Checkers/stay is the best, but it's not going to pass in a government without a mandate to make things happen.

it's almost adorable how naive you are, i wish i could be that innocent and quixotic again... unfortunately, the proposals are already out there.

i know you don't care about sources and will undoubtedly not read a single one, instead come up with some base- and brainless theory, but i thought i might as well provide some facts for the few people interested in them.

different topic: a quick show of hands, what would you prefer to happen concerning brexit now:

[x] no deal brexit april 12th
[ ] long extension (needs EU approval)
[ ] other (please elaborate)

Just read the beef/chicken one. It seems that the EU, not Britain has issues with US beef and/or chicken. Well, after Brexit, who cares what the EU thinks in regards to trade between the US and Britain.

The EU may have fooled it's members, but fooling the rest of the world is a bit more difficult.

I mean if we had another ref at this time the big fight would be to get remain on the ballot and if we did that the country would vote for it.

US beef and chicken standards are higher than EU standards. Sure we'd all like to be closer and kinder to the food... but with the amount we process, it just isn't possible.

May getting multiple votes on checkers and the citizens not getting multiple votes on the stay/leave referendum is indeed a bit out of place. Just checked and it seems like the majority to stay is indeed increasing, it should be on the table at the least.

lmao, this isn't a joke. Ever since they hired Bannon as an advisor, they look more like a parody party than anything else. Last week they proposed that spaniards should be allowed to bear arms at home, and that if he was president he would award a civil merit medal to anyone that wounded or killed an intruder in their homes. As if we even had anything remotely close to a gun debate in the first place
