I find it so funny how many people still think a college degree is some sort of paper saying “I earned this!!!!!!!!”

I recently moved out of the field into the office. I am very good at what I do despite having to learn all the computer programs and stuff like that. I make it a point to say I barely finished high school to everybody who brings up their degrees. I am surrounded by tucking idiots who can barely look up from tick tock long enough to gather basic information to solve a simple problem. These people are the laziest, and quickest to blame somebody else for something they could have easily done but chose not to. I am in a constant state of confusion as I am surrounded by these fucking highly educated children in their 30s who if I knew how they actually act I wouldn’t hire them to take the fucking plastic protectors off the casing pipe.

I have absolutely zero respect for somebody with a college degree just because they went to college. I spent my teens and twenties spending over 100 hours a week learning an industry from the ground up. These people spent a few years partying at a&m and act like they don’t have to put in any extra effort to earn their place in an industry. Like the piece of paper proves all of the intangibles needed to be a quality employee.
