But muh meat packing journalistic sensationalism

Bringing up the totalitarian nature of his state control is working against your case that it was just as bad over here.
No you cant blame a communist dictator that centrally planned the economy on capitalism. What a joke.

Yep, the government can do bad. Nobody denies that. But so can the market.

The list includes certain death tolls from the two World Wars, colonial wars, anticommunist campaigns and repressions, ethnic conflicts, and victims of famines or malnutrition

oh right i forgot all wars, ethnic conflicts, famines, and malnutrition are somehow the fault of 'capitalism'.

You should do some research into why it is that strict central planning of the economy was so terrible everywhere it was tried.
It wasn't some coincidence, or just happened to be this one bad guy. There are fatally flawed fundamental problems.

and stop posting a failed socialist state as an example of libertarianism. You are embarrassing yourself.

Skinned explicitly is defending the soviet union and making light of their atrocities to bash capitalism and promote marxism.
Would you agree that it was 'just as bad' as our industrial revolution?

There definitely are many people aside from those acting in a formal government capacity that do bad things, I agree.

Our industrial revolution was much worse than most people know. You're meeting his prediction by acting like a corporate apologist right now... You haven't given any kind of comparative analysis, just "BUT THE GUYS I DON'T LIKE DID THIS BAD THING WHAT NOW!".

Right i'm a corporate apologist because i think the conditions in the USSR's Great Purge era were worse than in America.

Its pretty clear there wasn't millions upon millions of deaths and widespread poverty directly caused to Americans by anything remotely similar to their totalitarianism.

Nice try to simultaneously claim I didn't make any legit points while mocking and belittling the fact that I pointed out unimaginably horrible things about the soviet era he is pretending wasn't particularly bad.
There is NOTHING like that in industrial America to compare it to.

I knew you guys were socialist scum, but I didn't realize i was dealing with the equivalent of a bunch of holocaust deniers.

In other words you have no argument, but want to ridicule us. Classy.

Do you actually believe what he said is wrong?
Democracy necessarily secures freedom, no matter who they vote for?

all i see is that he has a twisted concept of freedom/tyranny which is what leads to his opposition to democracy
then again he does come from the same crowd of freeloaders who call taxes theft so i'm not really surprised

He is predictable and he goes on rampages when his faith is questioned

He will never admit that colonization was a result of capitalism and expanding markets. Millions of brown deaths in the name of capitalism is okay...

He is also too stupid to realize that the Russian peasants were already dying of widespread starvation under the Tsar who was fighting in the capital-driven World Wars and that the Communists didn't have a magical cure for it when they took power...they managed to get that covered and put a man in space by 1961 while defeating Hitler in the meantime.

They went from being a nation of starving peasants under a Caesar still to a world superpower. That is success. Did they eliminate the class system? No, the bourgeoisie still ran the Soviet Union, the rulers, the oligarchs, are still some of the most powerful capitalist on Earth. One guy even bought an American basketball team.
