Yeah exactly, the guy has been in public service for 30 years and is worth 2.5 million and most of it is from book sales.
Thats not rich, at his age everyone with a half decent job should be at least that wealthy.
Think about it, this man has worked his entire life and has been able to collect his 401k id assume.

Sure, but it still means that he's living a comfortable life without having to worry about money. And keep in mind that he, as a Senator, has access to a gold-level healtchare plan with 72% of the cost being covered by the taxpayer.

And just for the record: the median household net worth in the U.S. is just $97k. Which means that half of all American households have even less than that. So while Bernie probably doesnt belong to the top 1% with his $2.5 million, this net worth still ranks very high on the ladder.

So would every doctor, lawyer, engineer, ranking politician, etc etc that is at retirement.
Bernie is not some middle class dude, he is a senator.
If he was a crooked senator his networth would be 10 times what it is.
And as you said, he has gold plated health coverage yet here he is fighting for free health for all.
