This is 350 cases with zero police involvement at all that would have otherwise.
And dealing with mental illness is EXACTLY when incidents happen, maybe dunning kruger is in effect here, because you seem to call me dumb a lot but you are not coming off as a genius here.



If you want some guy to turn up 40 minutes after your home or business is robbed, with a clipboard, say they will look into it then never follow up ill do it for 20 bucks champ.

Defunding the police is about moving responsibility off of the police to other more experienced professionals so police can focus on showing up 40 minutes after you are robbed holding a clipboard, tell you they will look into it then never contact you like they do best.
Its not about having no police, its about managing issues in a more nuanced way.


Chicago gang members are more likely to shoot cops than social workers, the only social worker i know of that got killed by gangs was by the mexican mafia after she consulted on american me and it had a scene that stated that a top ranking member of la eme was sexually abused in prison, 13 people died over that movie.
