those are not war criminals. you got all wrong. those are individuals, taking actions and facing the consequences.
the closest example to a "war criminal" is Assad. please see the differences. google it.
im not the one to decide what's the punishment due to any crimes in my country, both military and civilian crimes.
i got some questions for you, since i made it clear im 100% behind the IDF and your example is not the definition of a "war criminal".
do you think doing a service in the south lands, on the borders where woman and so called Palestinian reporters spit on you
and film it - is a joke ? can you handle it for 3 years ? can you handle getting rocks throwing at you ? while keeping your nerve ?
can you handle missiles being fire at your city every few months ?
anyone who commits a crime while engaging in war is a war criminal.
there are of course levels to it, Assad is a really bad war criminal.
but whether u steal a candy bar or kill a school bus full of kids you're a criminal. and whether u shoot someone against orders or bomb a city of civilians you're a war criminal.
also, i didnt even use the term "war criminal" in the post u quoted. i just used it in my google search to expediate my search. and BAM, it took 5 seconds time. so success.
could i handle being spit on, insulted, attacked, threatened, etc? yes. i did for about a decade in american federal prisons. i did leave tho without bombing the prison.
so ok let's leave bombing buildings etc aside. let's talk settlements. has there ever been an expansion of settlements you dont think was a good idea? ever, in the history of Israel post WW2.
