She heard it she went with it and she lied and at the expense of those with intellectual disabilities. A laugh and only a laugh could get the benefit of the doubt of just a moment of a lapse of judgement but "well said" is much more telling about a person

Not sure how its an attack on people with intellectual disabilities to say trump is mentally retarded, it was well said, the rest of the world says it openly.

racial insensitivity sexuality etc are all watched like a hawk and criticized thoroughly

those with intellectual disabilities, some of the most vulnerable of all are still disrespected by all sides often and it goes unchecked often

intellectual disability and mental illness are the last two groups that is is all too acceptable and minimized in society to be used as insults and to degrade other people

No one is saying trump has down syndrome or autism and I'd argue the meaning of the word retarded moved on from those conditions decades ago.

it's specifically used before and present to state that a person is inadequate and intent doesn't change the fact it offends and harms people with intellectual disabilities that hear it and their families and friends that hear it all the time

if it's not that big of a deal it shouldn't be that big of a deal to get rid of the word out of people's insult arsenals knowing that it does hurt people's feelings and has a history of harm and blocking societal inclusion

I am autistic, never had an issue with it, none of my family has either not even my sister who is 15 years behind in emotional development.
I rather the term retarded be used as an insult than autist or downie.
