My ex gf's uncle was a cop. Another friend of my ex gf's mother worked for a kennel club.
Police dogs are trained to "take down" w/e the officer tells them to. They will keep trying until they die.

The kennel club lady asked me if I wanted to be an agitator for the kennel club. I asked her what happened to the last one. She asked me cause I had three large shepherd husky mixes.
I said I dunno. So she gave the arm protectors and gave me the German word to make the dog attack. The she went out to her dog van for a minute.

So I gave the dog the command. He was a good 150lb. shepherd. He was sitting on the floor like a family pet about 12-13 feet away.
As soon as I said the command, he shot like an arrow from sitting on all fours, to my arm...didn't even take a running start.
Then he proceeded to try and twist my arm behind my back.
I'm 6' tall 200 lbs. and that dog almost flipped me onto my back. The only thing that saved me was that I was standing on a tile floor and the dog couldn't get any traction.
And that's just against a weak ass human. I would imagine that a dog would skip the arm and go for the throat of a lioness. I mean dogs are NOT stupid.

Lions regularly fend off hyenas to get/keep their prey. But of course, dogs are far scarier.

They take down crack heads...... not fucking lions.

Lions kill animals more dangerous than dogs every time they eat. No love lost on dogs, but this is like the 85' Bears vs. your local Highschool squad.

Hyenas are pretty small. Like 60lbs. A good shepherd police dog is 150-160 lbs.

That pic is a lionESS not a lion.

A lioness, a large one is 280lbs. a lion is 420 lbs. big difference.

average weight of 1 female lion = 265-400 lbs

average weight of 3 german shepherds = 225 lbs

the lion outweighs all 3, is biologically predisposed to fighting off packs of dogs the size of german shepherds (hyenas), has claws, and a bite force 2x the dog.

and like i said this is even assuming the dogs would approach the lion, rather than run. like u said, they take down crackheads not lions. they see a lion and shit their bullet proof vest then run back to the cop with their tail inbetween their legs imo.

Rhodesian ridgebacks were used as guard dogs to keep lions off property in South Africa. But, they only keep em at bay until the guy with the gun arrives. Because you know, dogs aren't killing lions anytime soon. The other way around though:
