IMO it's true that we have far too many EOs and the number is often an indicator of overreach. I haven't gone through all of Biden's EOs but most of them are inconsequential such as allowing women with dicks to fight terrorists. My biggest gripe with EOs is when it's a result of failed negotiations with Congress.

Biden is the ‘most popular President’ of all the times. He doesnt have to follow what Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump did. At this point it’s clear Obama rode on his coattails twice.

imagine that. the most popular President of USA history is an avowed segregationist -_-

Republicans are going to filibuster the DHS nominee. It appears that immigration is the confirmation battle that they want to have and I actually think that's pretty wise. Immigration policy is something that is a winning issue for the GOP IMO.

It is certainly an issue on which the GOP has huge policy differences with the Biden admin, and on which their base is relatively unified. (There is probably a divide between chamber of commerce type republicans and trumpist republicans on the correct level of legal immigration, but that's not within the scope of the DHS.)

Definitely better for the GOP to be talking about this kind of stuff than about impeachment/the Capitol Hill riots, or about covid, or about healthcare...

Reminder: confirmations usually get going(often to the point of completion for national security related posts) during the transition period. But Trump didn't accept the results, so his embarrassing lackeys in the Senate wouldn't do their jobs.
