it may not be Hamas but it will be some resistance movement which will cause long term problems, as has occured (which I would contest) as a consequence of events over the last number of decades. Not all Palestinians are going to turn the other cheek, some will be mildly upset that their homes and families are all gone and dead. You cannot expect values in Palestinians when Israel does not have these values either.

I agree, but I dont think its possible to eradicate them. I dont have the answer - no one knows how to do this as the act of doing it (in my opinion) will only lead to more radical converts.

I don't think he understands Hamas is an ideology as much as it is a subset of Arabs being terrorists. The more it's attacked in the conventional sense, the more it grows. Israel had most the world outraged over what happened, but this WWII approach to targeting Hamas and civilians areas they inhabit is bolstering their ideology. Each day seems more international nobody nations making condemnations of the siege.

it's a country of 18 year old blood thirsty radicalized people. im sure a few people saw the news and said "oh shit, we're in trouble when they retaliate", but im sure the VAST majority cheered. celebrated in the same streets that are now rubble.

i said it weeks ago, these people traded 1500 israelis for perhaps a million of their own. hamas is bad, but its the entire muslim world that supports hamas that is to blame. they're the ones who gave them martyr status. it's a calling from god to die in gaza from an israeli bomb. sounds great until you're holding a dead kid in your actual arms.
