Shouldn't the vaccination have prevented this though? What's the point of taking the vaccines for teenagers if the vaccination neither prevents infection nor reliably prevents covid side effects from killing them?

Look, it might be possible that the vaccinations reduce the risk of covid-induced cardiac arrythmia in young people (say by 90% and this girl was part of the 10%...) - but even then, this case would still be an exception to the rule and still run contrary to the narrative that her father was pushing. And it would stil reemphasize the need to for a proper risk-reward analysis of vaccinations for this age group (risk of covid-induced cardiac arrythmia slipping through in spite of vaccination versus risk of vaccine-induced cardiac arrythmia).
