unfortunately we will most likely never learn who, if anyone, was actually behind it - simply because there are too many people in key positions who don't have an interest in investigating it thoroughly - trump clearly being one of them.

Also... given the extremely high level of public scrutiny Trump is subjected to, I'm not so sure that he really had an easier time arranging for Epstein's "suicide" than unknown shadow players.

It's weird that people can have such contrary views on the "global elite". This is the same elite who thought Saddam had WMD's and Trump was a Russian asset. They aren't competent enough to murder Epstein and cover it up successfully.

"The elite" clearly never genuinely believed their own propaganda. The "saddam has wmds" story only served to convince the public of an unnecessary war. Similarly, Trump's nationalist and isolationist stances are a threat to global corporations and their stake holders, and to the military-industrial complex in particular. Weakning him with the Russia story limited his political wiggle room, and therefore served the interests of "the elite".
