What crime has he committed that he needs to pardon himself for?

If he tries to start an armed coup, we'll deal with it then.

lets see,

tax fraud
insurance fraud
hatch act and emoluments violations

etc. etc.

i am not talking about federal courts.

If you are not speaking of federal (aka district) courts, I do not know what "consolidation of power" you're referring to. The executive branch appointments all belong in the hands of the chief executive, aka the President. What, outside of such appointments has the current administration attempted to use their power to change?

E - Sorry, I should've read more carefully. A preemptive pardon is obviously a possibility. Nixon was never charged with a crime but was given a general pardon. Trump could try to pardon himself for anything he did in office, or an even more general pardon. And he'll hand them out for his children if he goes down that route.

If he did pardon himself, and someone asked "why would he pardon himself if he wasn't guilty of something", would your answer be substantively different from the one I proposed?

The answer is no.

Gonna cost trump $3m to cast a recount in WI because the margin lol. More debt on the way out.

AZ Presidential Election Results

Biden (D): 49.91% (1,567,561 votes)
Trump (R): 48.65% (1,528,137 votes)

Biden Margin: +39,424 (-345)
Estimated: > 95% votes in

Arizona
"Block trend: Trump is averaging 57.7%"
"Trump needs 58.42%"

It looks as if Biden will win AZ, but Trump can still win it, and the margin will be razor thin either way.

i have a serious question for you - the shit you see trump supporters saying and doing;

1. this spritiual advisor
2. these congressmen and women bending over backwards to claim that there is fraud when there is none
3. trump supporters threatening violence (one wanted to do a mass shooting if biden is declared winner, another wanted to bomb the ballot processing centre)

is this normal? is this really waht you believe in?

In order to accept a pardon you have to admit that you are guilty so Trump would be admitting guilt. Pardons can be revoked only if they are fraudently obtained. I have a feeling Trump is going to paint himself into a corner with this one

I do not deal with "what if's" very well. Trump has been under nearly unstop Audit for 30 years. If there were tax fraud, I think we'd know it. Likewise any other form of fraud.

Does nobody remember that Trump has been as hostile towards the NY government as anyone who's ever lived, and has more lawsuits filed, both for and against than any other person on the planet?

Am I the only person who knew EXACTLY what Trump was 20 years ago, let alone 4 years ago? These talking points are just that. Useless talk.

"Pardon himself"? That's the same bullshit line that comes about every election. Just drop it. It sounds ignorant, nothing more.

TY for update. I still expect Trump to win AZ. Too much hate over his comments about McCain, and too much advertising over it, bringing up hateful thoughts of Trump. Not gonna lie, this is a major reason why so many are willing to go anti-Trump. The ad-campaign was vicious. Trump ads didn't really exist. They were mostly banned by the media companies. :/
