To be perfectly honest, you're just too emotional about this to warrant a serious response. You're incapable of having a debate without attacking me so at this point it isn't even about ideas. Why would I spend 20 minutes gathering sources, properly responding to your post, etc. when you're just going to ad hominem?
This is why I strongly dislike demagogues like Trump, Sanders, AOC, etc. I'm not saying that you're a Sanders cultist, but too many of their supporters abandon all reason in order to defend a personality. What's strange to me is why you care about Sanders so much. I can't imagine caring much for a politician, especially a foreign one!
But I'll give you what you want. Joe Biden is a huge piece of shit and Americans are so unbelievably stupid to not be voting for Bernie. Our grandchildren will look back at this moment and lament how dumb everyone was.
sorry, but that is an incredibly poor dodge.
i replied to every single one of the points that YOU had chosen to make in that thread in order to create a false equivalence between biden and bernie. i was the one who provided sources, facts, and perspective to refute that.
the whole
'i totally could make a valid counter-argument, but it's just not worth the effort / too emotional' angle is something that wouldn't even fool most pre-schoolers - even less after repeatedly pretending you'd at least TRY to, whenever you find the time, and now just switching to a different excuse, lol.
to be fair, the facts are simply not on your side, so i understand why you want to avoid the topic, but the path you chose to do so is somewhat disappointing tbh.
btw, the "unbelievably stupid" part is not the 'not voting for bernie'. there are plenty of legitimate reasons for that:
- people who directly benefit from special interest dictating policy have every reason to oppose him.
- people with a well paying job in the fossil fuel, defense, insurance, pharma... industry most certainly have every reason to malign him.
- people who simply don't care about the poor and the working class, and would rather see their taxes invested in corporations, maybe still hoping for the trickling to start.
- people who think that america should keep meddling with foreign governments and start forever wars to fuel the ever expanding military industrial complex.
- people who want to do only the bare minimum to protect the planet, while trying to appease their conscience and the green movement.
- people who just want someone as their president who won't improve anything substantially, but at least not be a complete embarrassment and utterly incompetent like trump.
i obviously don't agree with those positions, but they are of course legitimate stances to have, and it makes perfect sense to support biden (or any other establishment democrat or republican) in that case. the "stupid" part is actually believing biden on the things that YOU say you support him for, that would require him to defy the donors that he put first for his entire political career. the "stupid" part is where you're so defensive about him, that you can't even admit his questionable relationship with the truth.
