Like usual there will be less and less talks about it while the amount of palestinians victimes will increase.
In my own news it see 7000 today including 3000 children, so let's remove the usual 30% overestimation from the palestinian ministry and we are on a real 5000, right.

I think that's about the most that the Arabs can realistically demand as a starting point, understanding that any eventual settlement will see them get much less. From the Israeli point of view, the Trump peace plan is their starting point, and both sides negotiate forward from there. Israel obviously wants control of the Jordan Valley for security reasons, but on the other hand the Palestinians need some sort of border access to the wider Arab world.

I don't see how Gaza and the West Bank can exist within a non-contiguous unitary state. Gaza as an independent city-state (post Hamas) is probably the only workable solution, as neither Egypt nor Israel want the territory.

I could be wrong but it seems like the more this drags out, the more people are calling for a ceasefire. the warmongering is on the wane and Im hopeful that the IDF ground invasion being delayed is a sign of cooler heads prevailing but I just might be delusional
no more innocents lives need to be lost

I've read reports today that the delay of the Israeli ground offense is partly because their US partners have asked them for a couple more days to bolster the air defense of US military installations across the Middle East.

Israel just going home without taking any further action against the Hamas terorists and their structures is neither sensible nor realistic. After this much delay and this many warnings, any civilians who still remain where the hammer will drop, i.e. near Hamas in northern Gaza, are either forced to act as human shields by the terrorists, or there based on their own ideological conviction. Neither of which should bother Israel too much.

Also note that calling for a ceasefire before Hamas has been decimated is effectively taking on a pro-Hamas position, no matter how much it's framed as neutral concern for innocent lives.
