your whole point was about "Trump's allegedly unique unpopularity". the facts i provided to prove that to you are undeniable. you confirmed what i already told you: he has had uniquely high disapproval ratings for this point in his presidency - and combined with the very low approval ratings that results in an extremely unpopular president.
you now pivoting and trying to reframe the issue to 'polarising', maybe because you think it sound less bad than 'unpopular', or because you think that would somehow refute my point, is pretty dishonest. his unique unpopularity is well documented, and it's rather sad that you can't seem to accept this simple fact.
you're arguing semantics.
if we understand "unpopularity" in the sense of "lack of popularity", then trump is not unpopular in this sense - he has skyhigh approval ratings among republicans and normal approval ratings overall.
if we understand "unpopularity" in the sense of "highly disliked", then trump is indeed very unpopular in that sense - he has unusually high disapproval ratings after all.
this duality is undeniable, and it implies that the word "polarizing" more precisely describes Trump's presidency.
