Lets be real. The much looser definition of mass shooting is clearly being used to get a higher number to be used as a scare tactic to exaggerate the problem and to push for gun control and Democrat support.
Actual homicide rates, firearm homicide rates, and violent crime rates have plummeted since the 90s, but that doesn't sound as good to anti-gun lefties as someone saying there is an 'epidemic' of gun violence. (*cough* Bernie is a lying sack of shit *cough*)
