"Stand back and stand by" seems like a canned line... but I have a hard time believing he prepped for a question about the proud boys. Maybe it was intended for his supporters more generally who were pepper spraying people and running into protesters with cars.

Either way, a ridiculous and inflammatory statement. Plays into the civil war nonsense.

Both sides are taking minor gaffs from the other side and making it into their battle cry.

Last night was shit. Both people sucked.

Chris Wallace should be banned from being a debate Mod. He couldn't keep those two children in check at any point.

Any time Trump supporters do the "both sides" thing, you know their guy is losing.

Trump acted like a fool. Biden would've looked weak if he didn't get in the gutter a little bit.

Overall my impression is that Biden won the debate for a few reasons.

Trump was way too aggressive. Constantly interrupting, some of the name calling, etc. was too over the top.

Biden didn't fumble his thoughts like some of us thought he might. I think for the most part he didn't have any noteworthy gaffes.

On content, I would say they were pretty even. Biden dodging the supreme court question is concerning. A lot of his responses seemed canned/rehearsed which is a turn off to me. On the other hand Trump could have used some practice runs because he left a lot on the table with what he could have said on various issues.

So slight edge to Biden.

Does it concern you that Joe Biden is lying that the Proud Boys are a white supremacist group, and the MSM is playing along with his lie instead of 'fact checking' it?
