Is it plausible that someone publicly saying that bitcoin should be banned (among other things) might be considered demonstrating a bias against cryptocurrencies?

I'm simply not saying that anything he says is wrong based on that. You are reading into something that is not there and ironically attacking a strawman.

So, he quotes this guy. You give a different quote from the guy and attack him as a source based on that quote, but that's completely unrelated to the claim of the first guy.

There is a difference between attacking him and saying hes necessarily wrong on a point because of his bias or non-authority.

You'd think i invaded France with all these 'ok whatever you say man' white flags being waved around.

When you start attacking a source, the implication is that you think the claim he's making and backing up with said source is wrong.

If you don't, then you need to clearly communicate that. You should probably work on your communication style in general though, because even though I fuck with you a lot I can have a conversation with pretty much everybody else here whereas you can only communicate effectively with like 5% of the board.
