Other animals are not moral agents as they can't think critically about they're actions.
Also even if they could, it would still be ethical for them to kill other animal for food as they don't have the means to eat a non-animal diet and their only alternative wold be starving. I think that covers those questions.

This isn't exactly on topic, but what do you think is the ethical way to deal with animals such as rescued big cats? Lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, etc. Continue killing animals to feed them, or kill the big cats in a painless way?

There's a lot of animals killed as corn is harvested per cow. I find it hard to believe that you kill more per cow harvesting brocolli, kale, asparagus, etc. than for the massive amount of corn used to feed livestock.

It's the land clearance dude. Per calorie of greens you're looking at huge amounts of land clearance, pesticides etc...

Besides - nobody lives purely off greens. You'd collapse.

A vegan diet is far more healthy than a diet with meat. It reduces the risk of disease and cancer.

Fish is the way forward bro.

...so we have reached the point where we are quantifying animal suffering as a justification...of course I knew we would get there...to borrow from the habit of piss poor analogies so common on PaRD - the man who tortures only 10 people is not as guilty as the man who tortures 50 .

The man who has a gun pointed to his head and has to torture 10 people to survive and does is not as guilty as the man who has a gun pointed to his head and has to torture 10 people to survive but after doing so tortures another 40.

As contentious as it may be, I've actually heard that housecats can in fact eat a vegan diet with synthetic taurine. I haven't done deep research myself, and also don't know if it applies to big cats, although I think it does. I'm not actually defending or attacking this, just putting it out there as I haven't fully educated myself on that topic.

First off, animal agriculture requires far more land and water than plants.

A vegan diet isn't purely greens. Vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains, etc.

Fish is healthier than red meat, but it's still not optimal for health.

Yep, torturing 50 is exactly 5 times worse.

...the history of piss poor analogies on PaRD has reached a new low

But remember this - the next time you sit down to your vegan lasagna feeling morally superior to us meat eaters ...remember...science has proven that rabbits actually scream when being sliced to ribbons but you can't hear them over the noise of the machine .
