Yeah, my dad told me stories of the same shit. They wouldn't let HIM, the PILOT take Toe-Nail clippers onto the airplane (Due to the pointed file that they have on it) even though he goes through a separate check line.
He also mentioned that during the time, the TSA guys turned into Nazi's and were so <word for being so egotistically insane about their job> kind of thing.
