for real tho i do hope we can move past the VP is important stage that every presidential election takes and move on to just actual policy comparisons of the regimes. i read a USA today article about how Trump is better for the country, specifically because we're headed into a recession. 2 headlines i didnt think that rag or any other national newspaper was allowed to print even under the opinion guise.
A good example of Trump breaking out of his pariah status in the cultural sphere.

I think a lot of people still underestimate the ripple effects of the cultural cordon sanitaire around Trump breaking down in recent weeks and months.
For obvious reasons, the Harris campaign will move heaven and earth to prevent a policy comparison and turn this election into a contest of personality and vibes. Which strikes me as futile, though. The similarities to 2016 are uncanny. That year, Hillary also tried everything in her power to turn the election into a referendum on Trump's personality. As we found out in retrospect, 2016 was a referendum on
Hillary, not Trump. And now, in 2024, the Democratic candidate has even been an active member of the incumbent administration, so the baseline tendency toward this election being a referendum on the track record of the Biden/Harris WH will be even stronger.
