Misread the headline, less than* average not half of the average. Regardless at that age and to be making the money he is that is pretty low. You can be altruistic and give away what you have but you know what else would be a good idea? to have enough savings to carry you to your death without encumbering your loved ones or the state.

im not sure if you are lost or what but JD Vance is FLOUNDERING! trump was even forced to say how unimportant the VP is, what a FAIL. obviously being VP is so important that actually your president drops out and you just get nominations because of how important it is!

for real tho i do hope we can move past the VP is important stage that every presidential election takes and move on to just actual policy comparisons of the regimes. i read a USA today article about how Trump is better for the country, specifically because we're headed into a recession. 2 headlines i didnt think that rag or any other national newspaper was allowed to print even under the opinion guise.

For obvious reasons, the Harris campaign will move heaven and earth to prevent a policy comparison and turn this election into a contest of personality and vibes. Which strikes me as futile, though. The similarities to 2016 are uncanny. That year, Hillary also tried everything in her power to turn the election into a referendum on Trump's personality. As we found out in retrospect, 2016 was a referendum on Hillary, not Trump. And now, in 2024, the Democratic candidate has even been an active member of the incumbent administration, so the baseline tendency toward this election being a referendum on the track record of the Biden/Harris WH will be even stronger.

Yeah, this is only possible because corporate interests have consolidated the media, we essentially don't have a free press in this country we have political prostitutes and shills for the establishment.
