I know a gay guy who was disowned by his mother, a gay guy and a transitioning MtF with conservative parents who he doesnt speak to anymore because of their abuse.

what are you talking about? don't you know that rule 21 of 'radical leftism' is to try your best to make your kid transgender? everyone knows that conservatively raised children are never homosexual, transgender, redheaded, colourblind, or some other kind of abomination exclusively acquired through 'radical leftism'...
