Capitalism you mean. And yes. Humans are just factors of labor...abusing them is morally equivalent to abusing land, property, capital, and other non-human factors of production. I'm not sure how so many Americans do the mental gymnastics that separates moral responsibility from economic value.

Capitalism relies on a schizophrenia of morality to see this sort of stuff and be like "its okay, I'm going to still consume, drink Coke, and he true to myself to be happy. That's what matters. I couldn't possibly be happy and I'm sure nobody was happy before humans had all this stuff!".

well theres a long way to that kind of ideal world, in waiting that i was sooo shocked about that haditha story, checked and it was true.
