The establishment wing of the Democratic party has moved sharply to the left on social and cultural issues over the past ~8 years, but only very moderately to the left on economic issues. And yes, military spending ultimately is an economic issue.

Roughly speaking, Democrats are unified on cultural issues, but divided on economic issues.

It's almost as if the establishment wing of the Democratic party has replaced the mainstream GOP as the political home of Corporate America.... something the trumpists have been telling both the establishment Republicans and the genuine lefties (Bernie wing) for the past 4 years.

I don't think Democrats have "replaced" the GOP as the home of corporate America. They are both still massively donated to by the same companies. Trump was an anomaly that introduced uncertainty, and companies don't like that so they worked to get him out. It's that simple.

You need to calm down. You get way too emotional over this. People who disagree with you are not shills. It really shows to what extent political dialogue has collapsed in this country, and why calls to "unity" are not being taken seriously.

Do you believe the Democratic party is further to the left than it was in 12 years ago? Yes or no is sufficient.

You're right. Everybody who disagrees with me isn't a shill. In fact there are MANY people on this forum I disagree with but have never once called a shill.

The Democratic party has not moved significantly left from where it was 12 years ago. The movement left has largely been limited to their willingness to pay lip service to leftist causes, but has resulted in virtually no action in actually enacting those policies. Hell let's take gay marriage. Obama didn't lift a finger to get gays the right to marry except for not defending DOMA. It was a supreme court decision. Perfect example of where Democrats paid lip service to a policy but didn't actually take action on it despite it being massively popular. Healthcare? Won't even vote on national healthcare, and Obamacare was the default Republican position until Democrats started wanting to pass it too. I could go on. Democrats are mostly stagnant, and Republicans are lurching right. There is a small progressive force in the Democrat party but as of now it has virtually zero power in the party.

Their donations werent limited to Biden, they also extended to all sorts of downballot races where Democrats have been outraising Republicans by ridiculous margins in recent years. It's become quite normal when the Democrat in a race outraises the Republican by 2:1.

If Corporate America wasnt comfortable with the Democratic party (at least as long as the corporate-friendly establishment can keep Bernie/Warren et al. in check), they wouldnt spend so much to strengthen Democrats across the board. This trend is not an aberration, a one-off caused by or limited to Trump.

Love him or hate him, but Josh Hawley really hit the nail on the head when he said that "the interests of big business and big government are increasingly aligned".

Looking at the ratio doesn't tell the whole story, and I'd also argue that we can't know the ratio with any degree of certainty with how many campaign donation reporting laws that aren't enforced, and the fact that Republicans get billions of dollars despite Democrats ultimately getting more money. Like, one side getting 2 billion and the other side getting 4 billion doesn't mean the side getting 2 billion isn't still firmly under the control of corporate interests. That's more or less the situation we're in. It's not like Republicans dropped to a tiny amount of corporate money.

Tough choice. I'd love to die, but I'd also like to be fuel for the robot overlords.

People who pass massive tax cuts and deregulation don't get to pretend to not be aligned with big business.
