Not clear yet. Note that the Netherlands has a more harsh justice system than many other Western European nations (higher % of conviction, etc). There will 100% be an investigation into why this guy was out on the streets and if there at any point was legal reason to detain him.

there should be an investigation why he was still in the country

T. May trying to pass her agreement for the third time: refused by the chamber speaker:

"But the government can not represent the same proposal or substantially the same one that was rejected last week by 149 votes," he added, based on a "very strong and old convention, dating back to 2 April 1604 ".

This convention has been invoked several times in British parliamentary history by the speaker to reject the examination of a text, said Mr. Bercow, citing the dates of 1864, 1870, 1882, 1891 and 1912. "C" is a necessary rule to ensure that the time of the House is used sensibly and the necessary respect for its decisions, "added John Bercow.

So they got the delay, then a longer delay.

Bercow is a legend. He's totally right, too. The government want MPs to vote on their deal until it passes, but they don't want a second referendum...

There's a slight difference between a vote amongst a few hundred mps that takes a day to organise and a vote between tens of millions of the public that takes months to organise and millions of pounds.

But I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that.

doesnt change the fact that it's disrespectful and a waste of everyone's time to let the MPs vote on a bill again and again even though they have soundly rejected it every time.

You means the best thing would have been that T.May present her agreement in a referendum ?
Seems appropriate, not sure the 600 pages would make it

Not even sure a majority people would take the time to read 6 pages summary.

All i see now is delaying till another prime minister get in charge and, more likely, ask for Hard Brexit referendum.
T.May must look like a zombie right now

Not saying it isn't, I find the whole thing completely ridiculous when there are other options out there.

Doesn't change the fact that a UK wide referendum can't even remotely be compared to a parliamentary vote.

The point was to highlight May's hypocrisy and unprincipled behaviour rather than a technical comparison between an MP vote and a nationwide referendum.

But I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that.
