Germany, back in the 90's was working on designs for anti matter engines. Same issue though, not enough anti matter.

We're so close to fusion, it isn't funny. I dunno if we'll see it, but it won't be long.

All this renewable energy crap is just that, crap. Everything we save with say wind or solar we USE in the manufacture of these devices.

We NEED power sources in the 90%+ efficiency ranges, if we really want to lower our carbon footprint.


The only use for solar seems to be space based. We could "beam" the energy down to the planet, but that requires a serious presence in space. Cause we're talking about a LOT of solar panels.


There are only TWO solutions to "climate change", if ya wanna call it that. 90%+ efficiency power sources, or quit over breeding.
Keep in mind, that where you say climate change... I say pollution. And I honestly don't think that humans can make enough pollution to alter the climate....even a little bit. It's gonna change how it likes, on it's own time table, and nothing we do will alter that one tiny bit.

To make solar useful, it needs to be somewhere where the sun shines 24/7. Aka, space. Setting up huge solar farms in space takes 100's of times the energy it takes to make them.

Unlike you and most of the folk on here... I have the time to do nothing else BUT research these things.
