I imagine I engage with significantly more very liberal people than you do with conservatives. I have an unusually large group of what I call day 1 friends, people I’ve known for 15-20 years, that I talk to on a regular basis, & some of them are very liberal. I doubt you can say the same.

I've noticed nothing triggers the right-wing more than calls for unity. Kind of interesting that supposed nationalists can't get behind it.

I guarantee I've interacted with conservatives more in my life than you have liberals.

Do you not know I grew up in rural Missouri and still live in Missouri?

Only place you can go to get more conservative is maybe rural Alabama.

It's not the calls for unity itself which are the problem, it's the implication of "unity on liberal terms". They're trying to act like the victor of a war who can dictate the terms of peace that the defeated side has to agree to, whether they like it or not.

When Democrats and liberals are calling for unity these days, what they actually mean is the following:
"we get it, your support for Trump was some sort of misguided rebelling against the inevitable arc of history. could you please acknowledge that this little experiment has failed and gently resign yourself to the inevitability of the world becoming ever-more liberal, globalist and woke?"

They're acting like they won? Almost Like they have Every chamber of the federal government

They act as if they have won the whole war, not just a single battle. This "cold civil war" which has been going on for 2 decades plus is not decided just because Democrats were able to barely oust a man who largely self-destructed. And let's not forget that even this minimum goal was only achieved because a once-in-a-century pandemic gave them strong tailwinds, something they cant bank on in future elections.

No one is saying that the left must seek unity, but Biden says he does, and unity requires compromise.
