Entirely depends on who you listen to. For you I'm assuming the answer is either 'nothing' or 'grace'.



Because knowing them is not the same as believing them to be true, or that everything people have said within them is true.

I've read plenty of books... I don't believe them all to be true accountings of history, nor do I believe that what their characters say is also truth.

I don't believe the god of the bible can exist. I actually think the literal god of the bible is self contradictory in such a manner as makes his existence an impossibility.

Yeah except the problem is

God wants something done
God can do anything
Therefore, anything God wants done will be done

God wants many people to perish, else it wouldn't happen.
