I actually really haven't taken a bible class. I admit that I accept the Bible of the protestant church and haven't truly looked into the 7 books of the Catholic church. Furthermore I never said their weren't differences just that they didn't change the gospel message. There are versions of the Bible out there that are false, but honestly I haven't dug into them too much. If you had 2500 copies of the Newyork times from different areas of the US and 1 copy that said something completely different, which would you believe?
I get what your saying about feminist theology...or thealogy. I think it is silly to change God to a girl, because it would be no more right. I guess God is especially thought of as male because Jesus referred to him as Father. Since God doesn't have sex, I don't believe he has genitalia therefore he doesn't have a gender. So trying to make the gospel completely feminine is silly.
at the first bolded:
where did you get your indoctrination from then?
at the second bolded:
when you look into the various doctrines flaunted by the different denominations/sect/cults/etc there are quite substantial differences in the understanding of the message from the gospel
there are so many so called scholars who remind me of political spin doctoring rather than trying to present the original message of christianity

i always saw religions as a message of love
unfortunately that doesn't apply to all religions
and while the 'message of love' is (or rather should be) integral part of christianity
just read all posts of self proclaimed christians on this forum
and you will notice that it seems to be lost on many
