They co-existed. When the ice age came, humans survived by cutting open the bellies of all dinosaurs and hiding amongst the warm entrails till the ice receded. We owe it all to those scaly heroes. They did something not even Spiderman could have done (he doesn't have enough body mass to keep you warm for that long).
